Thank you for visiting my art blog!

This blog was born because I wanted a space where I could show not only my finished paintings, but also the journey behind them. Art for me is not just about creating paintings, but also about connecting with myself, my emotions, and the specific subjects I paint.

Childhood roots

Drawing and painting have been a part of my life since I was very young. As a child, I could draw for hours, always and everywhere. I couldn't articulate it then, but creation gave me security: a place where I could exist freely.

This feeling has accompanied me ever since, only the tools and topics have changed.

Why animal portraits?

Animals have always held a special place in my heart. When I paint a dog or cat, I want to capture not only their appearance, but also the presence and soul that their owner feels every day.

For me, an animal portrait is a memory, a tribute, and a language of love all at once. Many of my clients say that they "got" their pet back in the painting, and I couldn't receive a greater compliment than that.

What will you find on this blog?

On this platform, I share from time to time:

  • how to make an oil painting step by step

  • my thoughts on creation and inspiration

  • more personal stories about what painting means to me

I don't want to show perfect images, but real processes that play out in my head every day.

Thank you for being here.

If you are reading this post, you are already part of this journey. I hope that my images and words touch you, make you pause for a moment, or simply bring you joy.

With love,

Jeanette
