Welcome!

Art has always been a defining part of my life.
From a very young age, I filled every piece of paper I could find at my grandmother’s home with drawings.

Later on, life carried me for two years in a professional direction that never truly felt like my own. In 2014, I found the courage to change high schools, and after a personal interview with the headmaster, I was given the opportunity to continue my studies at an art-focused secondary school. I was both excited and deeply uncertain — I had never been formally taught how to draw before, and I questioned whether I was good enough. That was when I realised that art was something that truly came from within me.

As an adult, I have returned to my roots — to my true calling and greatest passion: creating, and more specifically, painting. I explored many paths, but it is through painting that I experience the sense of fulfilment I had always been searching for.

At present, I mainly focus on animal portraits, while continuously learning and expanding my artistic perspective. My goal is to preserve meaningful memories on canvas — whether of a beloved animal, a place, a landscape, or in time, people as well.

My paintings are created on stretched canvas using oil paints. Due to the nature of oil painting, drying time is required; however, I use materials that help accelerate the process, allowing each finished piece to find its new home as soon as possible.

If you feel that your vision would resonate with my style, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Ross, Freya
